Jenn has just joined our team as a trainee paraplanner. Jenn's background is in Pensions Admin and she has recently decided on a change in career direction to Financial Planning. Jen recently passed RO1 - the foundation exam for a Regulated Financial Planner - in her own time prior to joining us and continues to study alongside her work here at OHFS. In her spare time Jenn enjoys climbing and baking with her daughter Kaiber.
Steven Whelan (MSc, CFP TM Chartered FCSI, FCII, FPFS) is the Managing Director of OHFS Ltd with over 40 years in the profession.Steve is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments, a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Certified Financial Planner. He also holds a Masters Degree in Financial Planning and Business Management.
Chris Hopkinson (APFS, Dip CII) is a Chartered Financial Planner and Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) who has over 35 years of experience.Chris' specialism lies in Financial Planning for Doctors, Dentists and other Medical Professionals due to his in-depth knowledge of the complex NHS pension schemes, Lifetime Allowance rules and other related issues. He is also renowned for his work with GP practices and surgery purchase.
Tricia is responsible for the day to day office management and accounts work, holding the full AAT qualification and has latterly been studying her Chartered Accountancy qualifications.
Katie Whelan (FPFS) is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and in two years will have the required experience to qualify for Chartered Status. Katie has also achieved her pension transfer specialist qualification. Alongside the full Financial Planning service, Katie now offers advice on long term care and is happy to discuss any concerns you have for yourselves or your loved ones in making these difficult decisions. Katie was shortlisted for the Rising Star of the Year in the Professional Adviser New Talent Awards 2019.
