How we are paid for our work on your behalf
On receiving
an enquiry we arrange a meeting with you at which we discuss
whether we are able to assist with your requirements, and
if so, how we should be paid for our work. There is no charge
for the initial meeting.
At the
initial meeting we will agree with you whether we should
be paid a fee for our work or whether we are paid by the
product provider of any product you buy as a result of our
work, or a combination of both. A payment to us by a product provider is known as
commission. Either way, we shall confirm in writing the
agreed method of paying us and the amounts involved.
If you
prefer to pay us a fee it will be calculated on our time
spent working on your behalf at a rate per hour we have
agreed with you. Alternatively, a flat fee can be agreed
up-front. Currently there is no vat charged on the fee.
Commission
is normally paid by an insurance company or investment company
for business placed with them. It is included within the
product charges made by the provider and therefore there
will be no additional fee for you to pay to us. The amount
of commission is based on a percentage of the premiums payable
or amount invested.
